 LSD

  EFFECTS
 LSD

• LSD is an hallucinogenic drug. It has a powerful effect on the mind.

• Users report that LSD causes jaw clenching and teeth grinding, which can damage the teeth.

• The effects of LSD are known as a ‘trip’. While a user is tripping they will experience their surroundings in a very different way. Sense of movement and time may speed up or slow down. Objects, colour and sound may become distorted.

• Once a trip starts, there’s no way of stopping it. Effects can last up to twelve hours depending on the dose.

• LSD can make the user feel different at different times. The effects can be unpredictable. Users experience trips differently every time.

• A ‘bad’ trip can be terrifying. Users may feel threatened and can even forget that the drug is responsible. A ‘bad’ trip is more likely if the user is feeling anxious, nervous or uncomfortable.

• LSD may trigger mental problems in some people. It is particularly dangerous for someone who has a history of mental illness, or is unhappy or depressed to take LSD.

• LSD distorts the senses and can give the user a false impression of their surroundings.
