• Cocaine and crack are addictive.

• Crack is very addictive. Users who form a habit can end up taking the drug just to feel normal. Addicted users need a constant supply of crack. Getting the money to buy the drug can dominate their lives. Some users resort to crime to pay for their habit.

• Crack and cocaine users have died from overdose.

• Some people inject cocaine, which increases the risk of harm or physical damage to the user.

• Sharing injecting equipment puts users at risk of infection.

• A common problem reported by cocaine and crack users is spending too much money on the drug and getting into debt. Getting into debt can lead to users committing crime to support their habit.
